Managed Portfolio Service
We will work closely with you to build a managed investment portfolio that is individual to you. Your specialist account manager will get to know you, so we have a deep understanding of what you want to achieve from your investments, what level of risk you are comfortable with, and whether there are any investments that you would rather avoid. Your account manager will take responsibility for managing this investment portfolio on a day-to-day basis, making all the buy and sell decisions within a structured framework agreed between us at the beginning. We will keep you up to date with the performance of your investments.
Investments can go down as well as up, and you might not get back the full capital invested. Past performance is not a guide to future performance.
Investment Management for SIPPs & Pensions
With CFM you get your own Investment Manager who manages your investment within the SIPP or pension plan.
What this means is that we choose the underlying investments; the actual shares, bonds and funds. We have years of experience doing this and conduct research on investments every day.
We do this after creating a very specific and carefully thought through plan and strategy for your SIPP, based on your age, plans, retirement and specific situation.
Our clients have been with us for many years. We plan to build the portfolio during their careers and then manage the portfolio with the aim to provide enough capital and income while in retirement.
Often where we differ from some of our peers, is that we design the portfolios to provide an income in retirement whilst aiming to maintain the capital, which can then provide a fund to pass to family upon death. This differs from simply planning for you to spend your pension down to zero over time.
Speak to us today to find out more about this service and arrange a teams or zoom call, or to book an in-person meeting, either close to you or at our offices.
Pensions are a long term investment and the capital as well as income in retirement can go down as well as up. You may not get back the initial amount invested. Pensions legislation including tax legislation can and may change in the future.

Inheritance Tax Mitigation using AIM Portfolios
Inheritance Tax Mitigation using AIM Portfolios
Capital Financial Markets can tailor a portfolio that invests in shares qualifying for Business Property Relief (BPR). Under updated rules, qualifying investments may still fall outside of your estate after only two years, though new thresholds apply. From April 2026, the first £1 million of business assets may be eligible for full relief, while assets above this threshold may receive only partial relief. Despite these changes, BPR remains a valuable tool for inheritance tax mitigation.
Capital Financial Markets have considerable experience and knowledge of managing such portfolios, ensuring they align with current legislation.
Our managers can also manage portfolios within Discretionary Trusts to support broader estate management goals.
Inheritance tax can still take a significant portion of your assets if your estate exceeds the standard threshold of £325,000, which remains frozen until at least 2030. Effective inheritance tax planning can help you pass on more of your wealth to your loved ones.
Capital Financial Markets can help you explore the three main strategies for ensuring your family benefits from your estate: utilising available reliefs, establishing trusts, and strategic lifetime gifting.
Investment Management for Charities
Capital Financial Markets have considerable experience and knowledge of managing such portfolios.
Our managers can also manage portfolios within Discretionary Trusts for the purposes of estate management.
Socially Responsible Investment
In 2021 CFM added a Socially responsible allocation option to all of our investment portfolios.
We also offer an ESG portfolio that only holds stocks which appear on the MSCI Socially responsible index.
Please note that investing in such stocks may not be suitable for all portfolio types.
The MSCI Socially responsible Index employs a best in class selection approach to target the top 25% companies in each sector according to their ESG ratings.
Our portfolio managers will use this universe of stocks as the starting point from which to build a portfolio for you.
Please get in touch to discuss this with our specialist managers.
