Paul Coffin
Managing Director and Investment Manager
Paul is the Managing Director and an Investment Manager and set up Capital Financial Markets in 2013. Paul has a BA in Economics and obtained an MSC in Finance (taken part time) from the University of Leicester. Additionally he holds the CISI level 6 Private Client Investment Advice & Management certificate and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment.
Paul began working in the city as a Fund Analyst, reviewing which investment funds to recommend for Greig Middleton which at the time had £12 billion of funds under management. During this role he gained an extensive knowledge of the Investment Trust sector and the investment management industry as a whole. After this he became a stockbroker at Redmayne Bentley building up a large private client base and moved into managing portfolios while at Fieldings Investment Management.
Paul’s priority is to provide bespoke investment portfolios to private clients and to do this using modern IT systems to improve the service clients receive. Paul feels much of the industry has moved away from a personal service to a ‘one size fits all’ offering and they have not updated the systems or offering to their clients.
